The People Need Our Help
“One Love”
In late October 2025, Hurricane Melissa tore through Jamaica with devastating force — flattening homes, flooding villages, and leaving tens of thousands without safe shelter.
The PET Method has launched an emergency initiative to help Jamaican families recover — one roof, one wall, one home at a time.
From repairing damaged houses to rebuilding entire structures, our mission is to restore safety, dignity, and hope for those affected. Every contribution fuels local crews, provides essential materials, and helps families return home sooner.
Together, we can transform devastation into renewal.
This initiative was born from the heart of Jen Houghtaling, whose love for Jamaica runs deep. For more than a decade, Jen has spent countless days on the island — not as a tourist, but as a friend, immersed in its music, its laughter, and its resilient people. Her compassion for the communities she’s come to know and love inspired The PET Method to act in their time of need. It is through her spirit of giving and her belief in One Love that this campaign began.
For questions about fundraising, partnerships, or how to get involved in rebuilding homes and restoring hope across Jamaica, please reach out directly to Jen Houghtaling, who is coordinating the relief efforts for The PET Method.
The goal is to raise $100,000 as soon as possible
Every gift helps:
Repair storm-damaged homes and roofs
Rebuild homes for families who lost everything
Provide tools, materials, and local jobs to empower the community
Support sustainable, hurricane-resilient construction for the future
Your support rebuilds more than homes — it rebuilds lives.
*Please leave a note with your donation specifying it is for the Jamaica relief fund.*
100% Accountability Statement – Project One Love
Every dollar raised through Project One Love – Jamaica Relief goes directly to help Jamaican families in need. There are no administrative fees, salaries, or organizational costs taken from these funds. Under the guidance of Jen Houghtaling, who has personally known and loved the people of Jamaica for more than a decade, 100% of all donations will be distributed to hand-selected families facing urgent hardship after Hurricane Melissa.
Funds will be used exclusively for immediate essentials — food, clean water, shelter, medical supplies, and the rebuilding of homes.
No money will be donated to any government entity, agency, or outside organization. Every contribution will go straight into the hands of the families Jen and The PET Method team are working with directly on the ground.
This is a promise of complete transparency and direct impact — your donation becomes immediate relief, real nourishment, and lasting hope for the people of Jamaica.
