Inclusive Marine Conservation Program
Make it stand out.
At The PET Method, we believe everyone should have the chance to take part in protecting our waters. Our flagship catamaran is specially equipped to welcome wheelchair users, with space for up to five chairs on each trip. This program is designed to open the world of marine conservation to individuals who want to make a difference, no matter their mobility.
What Participants Can Do
On each outing, participants get to be hands-on in real conservation work while enjoying the beauty of Sarasota and Manatee estuaries:
Clean up our waters – Use adapted tools to help remove marine debris.
Test water quality – Collect samples and use sensors to check for clarity, oxygen, and salinity.
Support clam restoration – Learn about our clam farms and help with monitoring efforts.
Wildlife watching – Track seagrass health and log sightings of dolphins, fish, birds, and more.
Share the story – Take photos, record observations, or help create outreach content to inspire the wider community.
A Supportive Experience
Each trip is guided by trained crew members, marine science educators, and accessibility support staff. Whether it’s lending a hand with tools, recording data, or helping with comfort and safety onboard, our team ensures every participant can play an active role.
Why It Matters
This program doesn’t just offer an outing on the water — it creates a space for wheelchair-bound citizens to become active conservation leaders. By opening access, we strengthen our community, expand environmental stewardship, and bring new voices into the mission to restore our bays and estuaries.

A Clean Environment Is All Of Ours!
A clean and healthy environment belongs to all of us — it’s our shared responsibility and our shared gift. When we come together as a community, each contribution strengthens the effort to protect our waters, restore our estuaries, and preserve wildlife for future generations. Whether through volunteering, partnership, or financial support, every hand that joins in makes the impact greater. By working side by side, we can ensure that the beauty and health of our environment is something everyone can enjoy, today and tomorrow.
