Our Mission

We work to preserve waterways, protect ecosystems and sustain life for generations

Founded in 2021, The PET Method Inc. (Protecting Ecosystems Together) was created from one clear realization — restoration projects fail without proper marine logistics. Boats , gear, manpower, safety coordination, and transportation are the backbone of every cleanup, clam restoration & 6deployment, and habitat restoration project. Yet, these essential components are often what smaller organizations lack the most. That’s where The PET Method comes in. We exist to provide the marine logistical support that empowers dozens of environmental groups, researchers, and community programs to make measurable impacts on our coastal ecosystems.

Our mission is simple yet powerful

To restore and protect our bays, estuaries, and coastal waters by providing the marine logistics and field support necessary to bring environmental projects to life. From supplying vessels and trained crews to coordinating on-water operations, we make it possible for our partners to focus on science, restoration, and education — not on the heavy lifting it takes to get there.

Supporting the Organizations That Protect Our Waters

Over the past few years, The PET Method has proudly partnered with organizations to offer Marin logistics so that their ideas could materialize into efficient projects

Our vessels and crews help:

  • Deliver restoration materials such as plants, shell, and water gear

  • Support underwater cleanups and dive operations

  • Transport debris safely to shore

  • Provide GPS-guided navigation for clam-farm monitoring and data collection

  • Assist with emergency environmental response when called upon

By taking on these operational challenges, we free our partners to expand their restoration and outreach programs without the burden of extra cost or coordination.

Our Core Programs

  • While we help other organizations achieve their missions, The PET Method also leads its own conservation and education initiatives:

Clam Farm Restoration & Monitoring

  • We support regional clam restoration efforts to rebuild natural filtration systems that clean and clarify our bays. Clams filter algae and nutrients, improving water quality and creating habitat for countless species.

Marine Debris Removal & Dive Operations

  • Our dive teams conduct vessel-based cleanups that remove harmful debris from underwater environments — everything from ghost traps and fishing line to heavy metals and construction waste.

Youth Marine Science & Leadership

  • We host immersive, vessel-based learning programs where youth ages 10 and up explore water quality, marine biology, and environmental stewardship through hands-on experience in real restoration projects.

Accessibility & Inclusion on the Water

  • Our wheelchair-accessible flagship catamaran allows mobility-impaired volunteers to participate in marine conservation. Because a clean environment — and access to it — belongs to everyone.

Expanding Our Impact

  • When environmental groups work together, we amplify results.

  • By centralizing logistics — vessels, dive gear, and experienced crews — The PET Method lowers costs and increases productivity across multiple organizations at once.

  • Our long-term goal is to develop a regional marine support network that can respond to environmental needs quickly and efficiently throughout Sarasota, Manatee, and surrounding coastal counties.

  • This model not only strengthens collaboration — it creates measurable environmental recovery through shared resources and collective action.
